Lisa Reilly has taught a series of courses with a significant public engagement component including most recently, with Elgin Cleckley, a SARCSEM on identity, place and architecture which introduced first year students to the history and legacies that have shaped Charlottesville and Central Virginia through on-site analysis of the built environment. Other courses have developed projects for Ashlawn, the home of James Monroe, and the Albemarle County Office of Equity and Inclusion. She received a 3Cavs grant together with Elgin Cleckley and Alison Booth to work with the Anne Spencer House and Garden in Lynchburg to develop virtual and actual exhibition materials.
