Andrew Kaufman

Andrew D. Kaufman is a nationally recognized Russian literature scholar and author of several books including Give War and Peace a Chance: Tolstoyan Wisdom for Troubled Times. He is also the creator of the Books Behind Bars program, in which university students meet with incarcerated youth at a maximum security juvenile correctional center to explore questions of meaning, value, and social justice through life-changing conversations about literature.
