April Ballard

April is the Associate Director of Program Development for UVA’s Center for Global Health Equity (CGHE), which works to support the development of global health leaders and global health capacity with partner institutions, faculty, and students. April supports the CGHE University Scholar Program, which provides students with resources to analyze and address global health issues in traditionally underserved regions. She also oversees the CGHE Scholar Award in Medicine and serves as the Program Administrator for the Clinton Global Initiative University. She supports CGHE International sites, coordinates the CGHE student team, COM-COR, and manages Global Health on Grounds, a CGHE event series including symposia, visiting speakers, and events conducted in collaboration with student groups.
