Esther Poveda Moreno is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Spanish, Italian & Portuguese. As a member of the Charlottesville community, Esther is part of several local initiatives that support and advocate for our immigrant neighbors: Charlottesville-area Immigrant Resource and Advocacy Coalition (CIRAC), the C’ville Immigrant Bond Fund, the Charlottesville Immigrant Transit Assistance Group (CHITA), the Hands-off María campaign, and Sin Barreras.
