Eyal Handelsman Katz

My teaching aims at cultivating students' growth as self-reflective, socially-aware members of their various communities. I am currently teaching a writing seminar that focuses on argumentation, social justice, and critical race theory. In my course students identify a social justice cause they care about and want to become better advocates for and, through various projects, develop the tools to do so. Students are encouraged to identify, listen to, and connect with the communities affected by their cause while being given the freedom to use their writing to support their cause in creative ways.
