Jonathan Kropko

I am a founder and volunteer lead for Code for Charlottesville, a local chapter of Code for America. Our group is devoted to tackling tech projects that benefit local government and non-profit organizations that serve communities in our area. Our volunteers come from UVA students, staff, and faculty, tech workers in Charlottesville, and people from all over the country with some connection to Charlottesville and UVA. We are part of a larger international movement in civic and public interest technology, and my academic research focuses on how we can share knowledge, experience, software, and data across the global network of civic tech volunteers and practitioners.
