Students in Vanessa Ochs' community engagement course on the Passover Haggadah learn about the long history of this ever changing text that orchestrates the Passover seder ritual. Throughout the semester, they volunteer with a community partner in Charlottesville and at the end, they create a ritual text, inspired by the Passover Haggadah, that addresses the vision and needs of their community partner.
